I make Chain Mail, Mail, or Maille. Whatever you'd like to call it. I'll call it ChainMail here, since i've picked up that term from AD&D, and it's easier to distinguish from regular "mail". I hate it when people think i'm talking about chain letters via email, or something.... argh! I started around August, 1999. I've since become quite adept and knowledged about the topic, no one's ever taught me anything about it.. I'm self-taught. So far, I've finished a hand-flower, a half-glove, a full coif, a haubergeron (or maille shirt) with half-sleeves, juggling balls and a bra... Also, i've done random bits and peices, like bracelets, and necklaces, etc..

*February 29, 2000* - ODiV was nice enough to give me an account on his artist web page. You can find it at normativemedia.cjb.net. Check it out, it's fairly interesting.

*January 27, 2000* - I bought a new toy - A dremel rotary tool. Basically, now, I can make perfect cuts and closures on my rings. It's expensive, and takes a while, but it works great for soft metals, like silver, aluminium and copper. So, if you want something done in silver or something, I'll make some niiice closures on em.

*January 6, 2000* - I'm now working on a japanese 4-1 style skirt. I'm using 14 gauge 3/8" rings coupled with smaller, 16 gauge 5/16" rings. I think it looks good. It's not going as quickly as I had imagined.. and I might even need more wire. I hope not, cause It's used 6lbs of the 14 gauge stuff already... and I don't think it should be allowed to weigh much more than that... I haven't even counted the 16 gauge stuff yet.

*Oct 26, 1999* - I got the digital camera on November 2nd, 1999. The new pics are up. I also bought a sword. It's a fencing epee (rapier). It's pretty nice. Well, the nicest part is the $20 i spent on it. And grip is a bit weird.. but I think I can get over it. I don't think i'll start fencing or anything... too much footwork involved... I've also made a sheath for it.. our of two belts and electrical tape (it took me 5 mins).

*old News* - I borrowed the UNB digital camera again, on Sept 30th. Completely new pics, and they're all arranged in sections this time. I also bought some new wire. For my work, I now have 16 gauge galvanized steel, a bit of 18 gauge galv and some 16 gauge copper wire. I also bought a small bottle of gun blueing, so I can blue the galvanized rings now. I tested it on a small bracelet, and wow.. I was impressed. Check it out under the Bracelets section.

If you are interested in purchasing some of these items, email me and maybe we can work something out. I'm not really actively selling them, but it's always nice to have extra money... And besides, I like making it, and believe that everyone should have tons of it =). Custom orders are possible, also.
